1978 FORD F250

1978 FORD F250

The 1978 Fat Fender Garage F-250 Highboy, commissioned by Avery Sly and Harrison Woodruff and built by Dan Maxwell, celebrates Arizona's rugged desert legacy. Unearthed in rural Arizona, the truck retains its weathered patina while showcasing a fully reimagined interior inspired by desert landscapes. The interior by Fat Fender Garage features distressed Italian leather and Pendleton Grand Canyon fabric, the cabin is modernized with Ultra Blue square-weave carpet, custom burl walnut inserts, and a Gen-5 Vintage Air A/C for comfort.

Under the hood, a rebuilt Lincoln 460 7.5L V8 powers the truck, paired with an Edelbrock EFI system, custom exhaust, and a Boyd fuel cell. Front and rear Dana 60 axles from a 2022 Super Duty and Fox performance shocks boost its off-road capabilities, while Battle Born Brakes and a rebuilt NP205 transfer case ensure reliability. It rides on Method Race Wheels 305 in Matte Black, adding both durability and a bold modern aesthetic to its classic charm. Modern upgrades include Red Head steering gears and an American Auto Wire system. This restored Highboy is both a nod to its hardworking past and a tribute to the Arizona badlands it once roamed.
